Carol Rose (also known as Carol Haug) has enjoyed, from an early age, international travel and the inspiration to create and share its embodiment in art. Now a resident of Mexico she especially likes stepping into bright and colorful works of art to compliment her positive grasp of the world around her. 

Her paintings have been likened to the fine art works by abstract expression and surrealists Miro and Klee with their animated, rhythmic and childlike elements of movement and spontaneity. They embody true abstract art, responding to intuition, confronting the unknown, the discovery of originality and the essence of her uniqueness.

I trust that my instincts will guide me through and into a whole new world with each painting. There are no mistakes, just twist and turns until everything comes together as one beautiful experiment. I like using different tools and mediums to achieve varied but coordinated effects towards a concerted result. It’s fun and that’s most important.
